Role Summary
Our client, an established outpatient imaging provider, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its team in the Syracuse area. This position offers the opportunity to develop advanced skills in PET/CT and hybrid imaging, with structured training and tuition support for CT certification.
This role is well-suited for both experienced technologists and new graduates looking to build a long-term career in a patient-focused, specialty imaging environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform nuclear medicine and hybrid imaging procedures, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT
- Prepare, calculate, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols
- Verify physician orders and patient identification prior to procedures
- Educate patients on exam preparation and procedural expectations
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
- Conduct quality control procedures and maintain imaging equipment standards
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
- CNMT or ARRT(N) certification
- Current New York State Nuclear Medicine license
- BLS certification
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
- NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) certification
- Prior PET and/or CT experience (not required; training provided)
- Salary: $90,000–$135,000 based on experience and qualifications
- Sign-On Bonus: $3,000
- Work Model:
Full-time, onsite in an outpatient imaging center
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday (rotating schedule within clinic hours of approximately 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- No weekends
- No on-call
