Direct Support Professional EE-WS

Job Summary

1:1 Part‑time Support Staff Needed – Syracuse (EE‑WS). Assists a 48‑year‑old male with independent living skills, including cleaning, organizing, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and volunteer work with Meals on Wheels. Supports community access and recreational activities as needed.

Hours:

Monday‑Friday 12:00‑4:00 pm;
Saturday‑Sunday 9:00‑12:00 pm. Hourly pay ranges from $18.50 to $20.50, starting at $18.50 per hour and increasing with relevant experience.

• Assist with daily living tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the client’s home.
• Provide support during grocery shopping, meal preparation, and Meals on Wheels volunteer activities.
• Accompany the client to community locations, gym, and swimming sessions when requested.
• Help the client access community resources and services.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and communicate progress to the agency.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Ability to work independently in the client’s home and community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• Preferred experience working with people with developmental or other disabilities.
• New York State driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance and an acceptable driving record.
• Must have technology to download multiple community apps and abide by ARISE/EFR technology policy.
