A rapidly growing U.S.
-based technology and manufacturing leader in the wireless space is seeking a Manager of Talent Acquisition to build and scale a sustainable early-career and skilled manufacturing talent pipeline across its expanding New York operations.
This organization designs and manufactures next-generation wireless technology used in high-density, mission-critical environments—from major sports arenas and university campuses to military and federal applications. With over 1,000 employees and a newly built manufacturing campus, the company is investing heavily in workforce development, advanced technology, and long-term talent strategies.
This is a newly created, hands-on builder role—ideal for someone who wants to own the strategy and the execution. You will shape the talent engine that feeds a high-growth, innovation-driven manufacturing organization.
You will partner directly with senior leadership, including the Chief People Officer, and serve as the primary architect of early-career recruiting, skills-based hiring, and workforce readiness programs across the Syracuse region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruiting for high-volume manufacturing roles as well as skilled and corporate hires.
- Create job architectures, career ladders, and competitive compensation strategies.
- Build and manage partnerships with trade schools, colleges, and workforce development programs.
- Establish co‑ops, apprenticeships, and long‑term job placement pipelines.
- Use workforce data to anticipate hiring needs and proactively build pipelines.
- Align recruiting strategies to both immediate staffing plans and long‑range growth goals.
Community & Brand Building:
- Serve as the external face of early‑career recruitment across Upstate NY.
- Represent the company at career fairs, industry events, panels, and community organizations.
Program Development:
- Partner with Talent Management to expand and mature the company’s Early Career Development framework.
- Create scalable processes and recruiting infrastructure aligned with an advanced manufacturing environment.
Ideal Profile:
- Experience recruiting in advanced manufacturing, tech‑enabled manufacturing, or industrial technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of early‑career hiring programs, pipelines, and workforce readiness models.
- Equally comfortable on the plant floor, on campus, and in the boardroom.
- Hands‑on, highly resourceful, entrepreneurial builder—not a “process for process’ sake” recruiter.
- Able to operate independently, influence leaders, and create something where nothing exists today.
- Willing to travel regionally for campus + community engagement.
Seniority level:
- Mid‑Senior level
Employment type:
- Full‑time
