Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team on-site. This position will report directly to the SVP of People and will play a critical role in supporting both HR operations and executive-level administrative initiatives.

Beyond traditional HR responsibilities, this role will help reinforce and strengthen Ironhorn’s culture by ensuring policies, communication, onboarding, and employee support systems reflect our values and growth mindset.

This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment and is comfortable balancing structure with adaptability.

Key Responsibilities Administrative Support to SVP of People
  • Provide direct administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, document preparation, and follow-up on action items
  • Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and internal communications
  • Support strategic HR and organizational initiatives
  • Maintain highly organized documentation and ensure accuracy of HR-related records
Employee Relations & Culture Support
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures
  • Support managers with employee relations matters and performance processes
  • Help reinforce a positive, accountable, and performance-oriented workplace culture
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and retention
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling
  • Manage onboarding processes, including offer letters, background checks, and new hire paperwork
  • Facilitate onboarding experiences that reflect Ironhorn’s culture and standards
  • Ensure new hires are set up for long-term success
Benefits & Payroll Support
  • Administer employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement)
  • Serve as liaison with benefits providers and assist employees with enrollment and changes
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee records
Compliance & Policy Administration
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Update and maintain employee handbook and HR policies as needed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
General HR Operations
  • Maintain HRIS systems and personnel documentation
  • Support leadership with HR reporting and workforce metrics
  • Help build scalable HR systems and processes to support company growth
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Solid foundation in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Go
    gle Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing new technologies, HRIS platforms, and evolving software systems

SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
