Fulfillment Specialist (2nd Shift)Location: Syracuse, NY

Avalon is seeking a Fulfillment Specialist to support the secure processing of medical records and document requests. This role plays a critical part in ensuring sensitive information is handled with precision, confidentiality, and care.
You will be responsible for scanning, printing, and mailing medical records while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and company standards. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-focused environment.
What You’ll Do- Process, scan, print, and package medical records and related documents accurately and efficiently
- Verify that all records match corresponding authorizations and supporting documentation
- Operate scanning, printing, and mailing equipment to fulfill high-volume requests
- Use internal systems and client software to track, update, and complete requests
- Monitor workflows to ensure all jobs are completed on time and without errors
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and company policies related to Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness before release
- Support equipment upkeep to ensure continuous and efficient operation
- Communicate with internal teams and third-party partners to ensure smooth fulfillment and delivery
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy metrics
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Solid communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Comfort working with computers, scanners, printers, and standard office equipment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Ability to work independently after training and take ownership of tasks
- Experience working with medical records, healthcare systems, or Release of Information (ROI)
- Familiarity with HIPAA or handling sensitive data (certification is a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Entry-level candidates welcome; training will be provided
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Frequent use of office equipment such as computers, scanners, and printers
- Occasional bending, lifting, and moving carts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
