Our client seeks a Sr Technical Project/Program Manager to lead high-complexity initiatives within a state health plan environment. The role will coordinate technical and business delivery across multiple concurrent work streams, drive cross-functional stakeholder alignment, and ensure timely, quality outcomes. The engagement will support healthcare payer-related initiatives such as claims, enrollment, benefits administration, or related systems, with significant executive exposure and governance reporting.
Rate: $50.00 to $55.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate multiple high-complexity projects and programs, including concurrent work streams.
- Serve as the technical coordination point across business and technology partners.
- Own integrated program plans, interdependencies, and risk management across work streams.
- Ensure deliverables are produced, reviewed, and approved against agreed schedules.
- Manage resources from multiple delivery partners within approved hours and scope.
- Establish and run governance forums, steering committees, and executive reporting.
- Mentor team members and foster a high-performing culture in a matrixed environment.
- 5+ years of project/program management experience. Principal-level consideration for 10+ years.
- Healthcare payer domain experience such as health plan, insurance, TPA, PBM, claims, enrollment, or benefits administration.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management with cross-functional teams.
- History of leading large-scale, complex programs with multiple concurrent work streams.
- Demonstrated ownership of program integration and dependency management.
- Experience delivering high-visibility initiatives with executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of related experience.
