Tully Rinckey PLLC is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our growing Syracuse, New York office. We are actively hiring attorneys at the Associate, Senior Associate, and Partner levels with a strong background in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

Job Description
As a Trusts & Estates Attorney at Tully Rinckey PLLC, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel to individuals and families across a broad range of estate planning and estate administration matters. The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney with strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and a client-centered approach to practice.
You will:
Advise clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters
Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and related estate planning documents
Represent clients in Surrogate’s Court proceedings and estate litigation matters
Counsel clients on asset protection and long-term planning strategies
Provide guidance on Medicaid planning and elder law matters (preferred)
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and trusted advocacy
Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions
Senior Associate and Partner-level attorneys will also:
Manage and grow an existing book of business
Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to practice development initiatives
Play an active role in expanding the firm’s Trusts & Estates presence in the Rochester market

What Are We Looking For
Minimum of 2 years of Trusts & Estates experience
Experience advising clients on estate planning and probate matters
Medicaid planning experience strongly preferred
Strong drafting, litigation, and client communication skills
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admitted and in good standing to practice in New York State
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service
Senior Associate and Partner candidates must have an existing book of business

Compensation & Benefits
Beginning January 1, 2026, newly admitted attorneys at Tully Rinckey PLLC receive a starting salary of $120,000, along with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses of up to 60% of base salary, rewarding productivity, excellence, and client impact. Employees will also receive access to a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:
