Seeking Sr. Onsite Construction Project Manager for Billion Dollar Project in Clay, NY
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a High-Level Project Manager for a significant construction project in Syracuse, NY. The role involves overseeing the direction, completion, and financial success of large or complex construction projects.
Responsibilities- Serve as the on-site project manager responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a large or complex construction project or multiple small projects.
- Provide feedback and guidance to help others excel in their current or future roles.
- Determine priorities, delegate work, and effectively communicate progress.
- Establish measures to assess the impact, quality, and timeliness of results while praising successes and sharing lessons learned.
- Build high-performing teams by attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining talented individuals.
- Leverage business insights by understanding industry trends, local market/economic conditions, and business models to make critical decisions.
- Deploy a strategic mindset when considering solutions to long-term opportunities and risks.
- Protect and promote the interests of the project and the client in all matters while demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Develop the project safety plan with corporate safety and provide jobsite leadership.
- Manage project financial forecasts, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements.
- Create and manage a project-specific quality plan aligned with the Owner contract and contract documents.
- Create and manage a closeout plan in alignment with the contract documents.
- Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Develop subcontracting strategies and review scopes to ensure the integrity of the buyout process.
- Implement and enforce all aspects of contracts and create risk mitigation plans.
- Assume accountability for the enrollment for insurance and bonds and manage the compliance process for trade contractors.
- Lead the development of the project estimate and manage the project team to meet contractual obligations.
- Lead project constructability and coordination reviews.
- Create CPM schedules for large and/or complex projects, recognizing potential schedule impacts and drafting prevention/mitigation plans.
- Develop a basic understanding of local market areas and create a networking strategy.
- Collaborate closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies.
- Participate actively in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships.
- Responsible for the career development and coaching of team members.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members.
- Interpret and translate organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of their role in accomplishing strategic goals.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 8-20 years of field construction experience
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facility construction
- Experience leading a component of work or whole project valued at $30 million or larger on commercial/industrial construction projects in a PM role
The role requires full-time on-site work in a field trailer environment. There is also a downtown Syracuse office available. The first phase of the project covers 680 acres of the 1,400-acre site and is part of a multi-decade plan to expand domestic chip manufacturing, involving land clearing, mass grading, utility and infrastructure development, and stormwater management, among other activities
