Executive Director Medical Alumni Foundation
The Executive Director of Medical Alumni Foundation will plan and implement MAF fundraising efforts, including annual campaign, major gifts, planned giving, special campaigns and future capital campaigns. They will oversee administrative functions of the office, monitor finances, serve as an ex officio member and advisor of the MAF board, and oversee the production of all MAF publications and campaign materials. The role also includes supervising staff and traveling to build relationships and solicit donors.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in alumni relations and all aspects of fundraising (annual fund, major gifts, planned giving) preferably at an academic institution, with at least four years of supervisory experience. Candidates must be self‑motivating, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to relate to a wide variety of constituents.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience in marketing, communications and public relations, experience working with a volunteer board and committees, experience managing prospects (identify, cultivate, solicit and steward), experience with prospect management software such as Raiser’s Edge, and familiarity with academic medicine.
