Overview

Clean Room Technician, Pharma - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift;
Monday-Thursday 4x10-hour shifts 1pm-11:30pm (shift premium provided). Initial training will take place on 1st Shift.

How this position makes a difference:

This position operates production equipment, including non-sterile filling machines, and packaging and labeling machines. The role supplies assigned positions with materials/items to complete work according to standard operating procedures. It also cleans equipment and production areas, inspects parts/items following prescribed procedures, provides troubleshooting on basic issues, and may assist in providing training.

Your responsibilities:

  • Operates all assigned equipment per established methods and procedures, including setup, operation and cleaning of equipment and parts, confirming configurations are correct, checking for leaks or anomalies, communicating issues immediately, completing operational documentation per SOP, and tagging/palletizing/placement of returned and rejected items as needed.
  • Completes and reviews area production documentation, ensuring entries are accurate, recorded in real time, and signed as completed.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with management, informing them of production updates, deviations, and corrective measures.
  • Exchanges work status information within the department, management, and co-workers.
  • Maintains a clean work area by using appropriate cleaning solutions and prescribed methods and schedules.
  • Ensures designated equipment/tools are cleaned and sanitized per established methods and schedules.
  • Maintains cleanliness of required glassware by loading glassware into a washer and completing wash documentation per SOP.
  • Handles raw materials and components according to prescribed methods and procedures, including procurement, weighing, material release verification, calculating required amounts per batch documentation, dispensing materials, formulating solutions, obtaining appropriate components per documentation, and handling per SOPs. Completes MRT for rejected/returned materials.
  • Maintains aseptic process area sterile gowning qualifications.
  • Responds to equipment alarms or malfunctions immediately by identifying alarm conditions and communicating with subject matter experts.
  • Assists co-workers in producing finished product within SOP/manufacturing instruction time limits.
  • Receives and ships plant uniforms and scrub uniforms for cleaning; stocks garments and supplies for clean rooms and sterile core; prepares garments to be shipped and sterilized.
  • Assists with special projects as required or requested.
  • Promotes a safe and harmonious work environment.
  • Maintains compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

You bring these qualities:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution; one or more years of experience in a hospital or manufacturing environment or clean room filling preferred
  • Experience in a production environment, ideally in a clean room setting
  • Basic mechanical skills related to operation of equipment
  • Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized equipment, such as filling, washing, and sanitizing equipment
  • Knowledge of clean room procedures (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of general computer functions (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks within a given time frame
  • Safety awareness and the ability to recognize safety issues
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail, quality, sterility, and aseptic technique
  • Professional communication with coworkers, management, and others
  • Mathematical skills including measurements and conversions
  • Ability to recognize deviations from procedures and communicate promptly
