Adecco is recruiting for a Buyer for a client in Syracuse, NY.

Title: Buyer – Purchasing Department (Long-Term Temporary Contract)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $25/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Buyer to join our Purchasing Department on a long-term temporary contract
. The Buyer will manage procurement of materials and services to support manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and strong supplier performance.

• Process and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies

• Coordinate with Production and Planning to support manufacturing schedules

• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery

• Expedite orders and resolve purchasing issues (shortages, late deliveries, invoice discrepancies)

• Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP/MRP systems

• Support supplier evaluations and cost-saving initiatives

• Previous experience in Purchasing, Buying, or Procurement

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred

• ERP/MRP system experience (SAP preferred)

• Intermediate Excel skills

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities

• Experience purchasing manufacturing materials or services

• Knowledge of inventory management and production planning

• Ability to analyze purchasing data and vendor performance

• Long-term temporary contract with competitive pay

• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
