Foundry Utility Worker - 2nd shift
Core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Hourly rate is $20.55 plus $1.50 shift differential.
What you’ll do- Perform a wide variety of duties throughout the Iron and Non‑Ferrous Foundry areas and support the grinding room operation following standard procedures or instructions.
- Duties include grinding large and small castings, use of band saws, dumping and shakeout molds, hooking off and shoveling castings, pouring molds, transporting metal, core knockout, transporting materials and/or equipment with fork truck, payloader, or power vac.
- Assist the molder in machine set‑up and clean assigned areas, operate shot blast cleaning equipment, and repair pouring ladles.
- Operate automatic floor sweeper.
- Perform minor maintenance duties such as tightening loose parts (spray nozzles, etc.), replacing parts (sprues, etc.).
- Detect and report all defective materials; refer questionable cases to proper supervision.
- Complete grinding room duties: sort, clean, move castings and materials as required; operate shot blast cleaning equipment and fork trucks as required; sweep and clean area as directed; maintain equipment and area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.
- Refer unusual or questionable situations to proper supervision.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three months manufacturing experience.
- Only candidates residing within 50miles of the location will be considered; no relocation benefit is offered.
