Your tasks will include setting up and operating manual machines to complete work orders while ensuring precision is maintained throughout each machining operation. You will inspect parts according to established procedures, perform first-piece quality inspections as verified by a supervisor or quality technician, and make or modify tooling when necessary. You will also use and qualify measuring tools, monitor and record tooling, supplies, and raw material usage, and notify appropriate personnel when materials are needed.
In addition, you will clean machines, tooling, and finished parts, perform basic machine maintenance, complete ongoing technical training, and assist with training Manufacturing Associates as applicable.
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma and at least one year of machining experience, or a one-year certificate from a college or technical school with six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should have the ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, training documents, and work instructions.
The ideal candidate will be able to set up and use measuring tools, read and understand blueprints, and follow written and verbal directions accurately. Familiarity with GD&T is a plus. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, dependability, and a commitment to quality and safety are essential.
We also appreciate candidates who demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintaining precision and quality. Experience modifying tooling, performing first-piece inspections, or training less experienced employees will help you stand out. A willingness to continue developing technical skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are highly valued. Candidates who align with our values of attention to detail, collaboration, continuous learning, dependability, adaptability, and safety will thrive in this role.
We offer you an interesting, challenging, and responsible position, along with the support of a highly skilled and growing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for your professional growth in a dynamic, enthusiastic, and collaborative team where we work together and support each other. We foster a multicultural work environment with room to grow, where you can use your potential and further develop your technical and machining skills.
We offer a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), long- and short-term disability, life insurance, training, tuition reimbursement, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
