SRCTec, LLC is currently seeking a Sr. Material Planner. The selected candidate will work with procurement, manufacturing, program management, manufacturing management, engineering, and production control planners to coordinate and facilitate the entry of contract demand into the MRP system, material requisition process, and inventory alignment to manufacturing schedules & S&OP. This individual will be accountable for current and scheduled material availability.
WhatYou'll Do
- Convert contracts information to demand input in the MRP system
- Responsible for material supply aligning with the manufacturing/development build plan
- Responsible for purchase requisition submission
- Monitor material risks and report to internal customers on their potential impact
- Interface with procurement to identify and resolve material issues
- Support non-conforming material process
- Engage in the S&OP process with program management, finance, & senior leadership to improve part forecasts & inventory levels
- Develop best practices to minimize on-hand inventory (min stocking, EOQ, Common Inventory)
- Provide input to strategic material planning process including material availability analysis
- Support cost and inventory reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with cross functional areas (engineering, procurement, manufacturing management, production planning, supply chain)
- Train, mentor, and support Material Planners, helping build capability and consistency across the team
- Lead by example within the planning group by driving accountability, sharing expertise, and contributing to team-wide process improvements
- Partner with leadership to enhance planning tools, workflows, and documentation to strengthen departmental performance
- Bachelor’s degree required and 4+ years of experience
- Working knowledge of inventory management, bills of material, MRP systems
- Proficient with MS office applications – advanced knowledge of Excel required
- Must be able to organize and manage multiple, changing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization and maintain good cross functional team relationships
- Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated analytical ability
- Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, self-motivated, and excellent organizational skills

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $85,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
