NC/CNC Machine Set-Up & Operator – 1st Shift

Shift: 1st Shift | 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

We are seeking an experienced NC/CNC Machine Set-Up & Operator to perform machining setups and operations across a variety of machine shop equipment and metal materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate engine lathes, vertical turret lathes, radial/spindle drill presses, shapers, surface grinders, and horizontal/vertical milling machines.
• Select appropriate tools, attachments, feeds, and speeds based on material and finish requirements.
• Layout and machine production and specialty castings to required tolerances.
• Work with steel, iron, brass, bronze, aluminum, and other metals.
• Layout, machine, fit, and assemble jigs and fixtures.
• Determine machining sequences and perform calculations involving angles, tapers, fits, and dividing heads.
• Inspect parts for finish allowance, material defects, and machining issues.
• Maintain machines and work areas according to 5S and safety standards

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum 2 years of NC/CNC setup and operation experience
  .
• Must reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY
  ; no relocation assistance available. Active-duty military candidates are exempt from the geographic restriction.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
