Crouse’s NP and PA teams are a multi-disciplinary group of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) that provide care to patients through various services including anesthesia/pre-admission testing, cardiology, diabetes, gastroenterology, general surgery, hospitalist, nephrology, neurosciences, orthopedics and palliative medicine in collaboration with an attending physician.
The APP team is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 / year
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with on-call one week per month
ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Practitioner (NP) will practice in collaboration with physicians in the Addiction Treatment Services/Psychiatry department as direct healthcare providers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting psychiatry and addiction psychiatry assessments and mental status examinations, formulating appropriate diagnoses and executing treatment plans working with patients and families, coordinating care delivery during hospitalization which includes making referrals to outside facilities, assessing readiness and providing detailed care instructions for discharges, and also providing education to patients and the general health care team.
The NP candidate will also be responsible for providing patient care throughout the Crouse Health system, as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Current New York State License as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner
- Registered NP ANCC certified in Psychiatric Nursing
- Minimum of two (2) years RN experience in Psychiatry, Addiction Treatment Services, or Internal Medicine preferred.
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing or its direct equivalent, preferred
- BLS/ACLS certification required or completion within 1 month of start date.
