ASC Preop PACU RN

About The Role

Assists in the daily clinical operations of the Preop/PACU in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. Participates in direct patient care including maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment.

• Exhibit a high degree of maturity, integrity, loyalty, creativity, and strict confidentiality with HIPAA compliance in all daily tasks.
• Assess the patient/significant others’ understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention.
• Provide safe medication administration.
• Manage patient complications/emergencies preoperatively and postoperatively.
• Manage and document controlled substance inventory.
• Utilize aseptic technique and infection control principles to establish and maintain intravenous access.
• Report significant patient information to medical staff appropriately.
• Document patient response during postoperative period.

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license.

• Two (2) years of clinical experience with an emphasis in PACU, surgery or ER.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Electronic Medical Record Experience.
• BLS.

$35.00 - $41.00 / hour.
