About The Role
Assists in the daily clinical operations of the Preop/PACU in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. Participates in direct patient care including maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Exhibit a high degree of maturity, integrity, loyalty, creativity, and strict confidentiality with HIPAA compliance in all daily tasks.
- Assess the patient/significant others’ understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention.
- Provide safe medication administration.
- Manage patient complications/emergencies preoperatively and postoperatively.
- Manage and document controlled substance inventory.
- Utilize aseptic technique and infection control principles to establish and maintain intravenous access.
- Report significant patient information to medical staff appropriately.
- Document patient response during postoperative period.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN license.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience with an emphasis in PACU, surgery or ER.
- Ambulatory surgery center experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Electronic Medical Record Experience.
- BLS.
