Shift: Days - 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced EP Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Heart & Vascular procedural team. This role requires strong electrophysiology nursing skills, procedural experience, and proficiency in moderate sedation administration and monitoring.
The ideal candidate will have a strong cardiac or ICU background and experience managing patients throughout pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for electrophysiology procedures.
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation medications.
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure recovery care.
- Monitor airway and hemodynamic status during and after procedures.
- Assist physicians during EP and cardiac interventions.
- Perform advanced nursing assessments with minimal supervision.
- Document accurately in EPIC EMR.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Active New York State RN License/Registration.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in Cardiac or ICU-level care.
- At least 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years) in a comparable facility.
- BLS Certification (current and maintainable).
- Experience with moderate sedation medications and patient monitoring.
- Experience with procedural patient prep and recovery.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check.
- Proficient electrophysiology nursing skills.
- Telemetry monitoring experience.
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Experience in trauma centers or large acute care hospitals.
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- ENPC
- Telemetry certification/experience
- Other specialty-specific credentials as applicable
