Shift: Monday–Friday, 5 × 8-hour days (8:30 am – 5:00 pm)
Setting: Ambulatory/Outpatient Primary Care Clinic
Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in our ambulatory primary care setting, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a busy outpatient environment. You will collaborate with providers and care teams to support patient assessments, clinical workflows, documentation and care coordination with minimal supervision once oriented.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs, and nursing screening consistent with ambulatory practice.
Provide direct patient care including medication administration, injections, and routine clinical procedures.
Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience preferred).
Communicate with providers, patients, and interdisciplinary team to support efficient clinic flow and care outcomes.
Assist with patient education on disease prevention, treatment plans, follow-ups and self-care.
Respond appropriately to patient needs and collaborate with clinical team throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications:
Active and current New York State RN Registration in good standing.
Certified in BLS (with ability to be recertified).
Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care experience in a hospital of similar size or greater (trauma center experience preferred for travelers).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
No history of professional license suspension, certification investigation, or named professional liability claim.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to clear all required pre-employment health screenings, drug testing and background checks.
