Admit and Recovery to variable hours 5am-9pm and 1 Saturday every 6 weeks.

eph’s Health the Surgical Services Department records more than 11,000 surgeries annually in our state‑of‑art operating rooms providing a full range of surgical services, offering care for ambulatory, elective, and critically ill patients. The Registered Nurse Surgical Admit & Recovery is responsible for providing high‑quality nursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures, ensuring safe transitions between preoperative and post‑anesthesia care phases.

• Assess and prepare patients for surgery, including reviewing medical history and administering preoperative medications. Monitor patients in the Pre‑Op area, ensuring they are stable and ready for surgery.
• Provide immediate post‑anesthesia care, monitoring vital signs and assessing for complications.
• Educate patients and families on post‑operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills along with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and respond quickly to changing patient conditions.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.
• Licensure:
  Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in New York.
• Certification: BLS/CPR. CNOR or CPAN certification a plus.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1- 2 years’ experience in Pre‑Op, PACU, or Surgical/Perioperative Nursing.

$38.75 - $54.85 per hour.
