Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse

About This Role

The Electrophysiology Lab Registered Nurse will administer medication for moderate sedation and assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures in the SUNY Upstate Electrophysiology Lab. This role is ideal for experienced nurses with a background in cardiac care.

  Full-time, Monday - Friday, Flexible Days with rotation for late case coverage

• Administer medication for moderate sedation.
• Document activities of patient care and testing.
• Assist physicians in testing and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
• Communicate results of testing to cardiologist/electrophysiologist, nursing, and case managers.
• Participate in continuing education research and patient teaching.
• Engage in patient care and unit activities of HVC departments including Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehab, and ECHO Lab.

• Education: Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Care nursing experience, preferably in an ICU/critical care setting

  • NYS RN licensure (or eligible)
  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
