Cardiac Surgery - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner RNFA - Syracuse, NY

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking to recruit an experienced Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant or RNFA to join the Cardiac surgery program eph’s Hospital located in Syracuse, NY. Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistants first assist and cover floor consults. This role is full‑time with weeknight and weekend call rotation.

• First assist with all open‑heart cases, no vascular, some thoracic, adult only.
• Daily rounds with CTS team, caring for post‑operative patients in the ICU and on the floor, admitting transfers from outside facilities and the emergency department, and consultations.
• Proficient in vein harvesting, chest tube placement, central line placement, and arterial line placement.
• Call coverage: 1 weekend a month with occasional additional coverage needed.

• NYS licensure
• DEA certification
• ACLS/BLS
• Open to new grads with clinical rotation experience or interested in cardiac surgery
• Graduation from an accredited PA program, NP Certification (required for RFNA applicants)

• Compensation: $127,857–$222,472 (starting total compensation)
