Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00 am–4:00 pm (rotational basis). Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Job DescriptionThe RN will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other members of the SU Health Services team to provide comprehensive clinical care for students—illnesses, injuries, immunizations, health education, and related laboratory services. The RN will be a per diem position reporting directly to the Nurse Manager.
Education and Experience- RN, licensed to practice in the state of New York.
- Three (3) years of experience as an RN, preferably in an ambulatory setting.
- Primary care or College Health Office experience and phlebotomy experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Telephone and walk‑in triage—responding to student inquiries, assessing acuity, providing care advice or scheduling appointments.
- Nurse visits—administer immunizations, injections, wound care, suture removal, ear lavage, nebulizer treatment, and manage referrals to radiology.
- Sti clinic—screening, ordering labs, explaining results, providing sexual health education, and referral to provider as needed.
- Clinic duties—support primary care providers, assist with rooming, history taking, vital sign and specimen collection, medication administration, and documentation in EMR.
- Point‑of‑care laboratory duties—perform CLIA‑waived tests, control testing, occasional phlebotomy, enter results in EMR, and liaise with reference laboratory.
- Continuing education—attend relevant seminars, lectures, teaching days, and other learning opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
