Stress Echo Lab RN

Overview

The Stress Echocardiology Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients undergoing procedures in the Electrocardiology Department.

• Administer medication to perform moderate sedation.
• Participate in diagnostic and treatment procedures in electrophysiology.
• Document activities of patient care and testing, and assist physicians in testing and assessment of cardiac problems.
• Communicate results of testing to nursing and case managers and be responsible for continuing education, research, and patient teaching.

• Associate's degree in Nursing, with a minimum of 2 years Cardiac Care nursing experience required.
• NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible).
• CPR-BLS certification and ACLS certification required by time of appointment.
• Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.

• Experience in an ICU, Critical Care, or Cardiac Stress/Echo Lab setting.

Day

Shifts:

40 hours per week with on call requirements.
