Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care
Location: Syracuse, NY (13210)
Pay Rate: $52-$56/hr (Depending on Experience)
Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care provides high-quality nursing care in an outpatient clinical setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills, recent acute care experience, and the ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent nursing experience within the last 2 years.
- Experience in an acute care facility of similar size and complexity.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Recent Ambulatory/Outpatient Nursing experience.
- Oncology experience.
- Infusion Therapy experience.
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Experience in large acute care hospitals or trauma centers.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
- Provide direct nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and communicate changes to providers.
- Support infusion and specialty care services when needed.
- Educate patients regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and infection control standards.
