The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or provider. The LPN works collaboratively with all staff to attend to clinical tasks and patient care, contributing to the smooth operation of the practice and upholding the mission and goals of the organization.

• Education/Certification/Licensure
  • Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience/Skills/Proficiencies
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
  • Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
  • Understanding of documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
  • Works well in a team setting and demonstrates strong cooperation skills.
  • Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
  • Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.
  • Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in a physician office, preferred.
