Position Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Internal Medicine – Syracuse, NY. Full‑time clinical position, days from 8:00‑4:30 or 8:30‑5. Job .

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a licensed health‑care provider who provides nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or provider. The LPN contributes to the smooth operation of the practice by attending to clinical tasks and patient care and works collaboratively with all other staff to assist patients and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice team.

• Education/Certification/Licensure
  • Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
• Experience/Skills/Proficiencies
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology
  • Familiarity with health‑care systems, regulations, policies and functions
  • Understanding of documentation standards
  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies and materials needed for medical treatment
  • Works well in a team setting and demonstrates strong cooperation skills
  • Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders
  • Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in a physician office preferred
