Location: City of Syracuse

Travel Nurse Practitioner – Oncology / Acute Care – Syracuse, NY Schedule / Shift

Monday-Friday | Day Shift | 8:00 am-4:30 pm
13-week assignment with possible extension

Cedar Park Med is hiring an experienced travel Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an acute care opening in Syracuse, New York. Oncology experience is heavily preferred for this assignment.

Required Qualifications
  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license/registration required
  • NYS NP specialty certification consistent with area of practice required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
  • Prior inpatient experience
  • Current CPR / ACLS certifications required
Traveler / Location Requirement

This is a travel assignment based in Syracuse, NY. Candidates must live outside the 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Oncology experience heavily preferred
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary care teams
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred
Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with attending physicians to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Perform patient evaluations, assessments, and ongoing clinical management
  • Develop and implement patient care plans appropriate to the clinical setting
  • Document subjective and objective findings, assessments, and care plans accurately and timely within the medical record
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and ongoing care
  • Utilize prescriptive authority in collaboration with attending physicians and organizational protocols
  • Support high-quality patient care within an acute care environment
  • Perform the majority of patient care functions required within the specialty setting with minimal orientation and supervision
