Travel Endoscopy Technician

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures, ensuring equipment is functioning properly, and maintaining a safe, sterile environment. Your role is vital in supporting the diagnosis and treatment of conditions involving the gastrointestinal tract and related systems.

• Prepare procedure rooms, endoscopes, and instruments for use
• Assist the physician and RN during endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and upper endoscopies
• Handle specimens properly and transport them to the appropriate departments
• Monitor and reassure patients before, during, and after procedures
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic equipment according to infection control standards
• Maintain inventory of endoscopy supplies and ensure proper storage
• Inspect and test equipment for functionality before each use
• Document equipment usage and maintenance logs accurately
• Comply with all safety protocols, infection prevention, and facility policies
• Support patient flow and room turnover between procedures

• At least one year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician (Minimum 1 year)
• Current BLS certification
• National CGR certification or CST with endoscopy experience
• State licensure may be required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in fast-paced clinical environments, and follow precise sterilization protocols
• Experience with endoscopy equipment and infection control standards

SGNA (CGR) certification, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
