Registered Nurse - Admit and Recovery Unit

Description

Registered Nurse Surgical Admit & Recovery eph’s Health provides high-quality nursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures, ensuring safe transitions between preoperative and post-anesthesia care phases during variable hours (5:00 am–9:00 pm, 1 Saturday every 6 weeks). The role is full‑time with rotating shift schedule.

Full time – 40 hour day/evening rotating shift.

• Assess and prepare patients for surgery, including reviewing medical history and administering preoperative medications and monitoring patients in the Pre‑Op area to ensure they are stable and ready for surgery.
• Provide immediate post‑anesthesia care with monitoring of vital signs and assessment for complications.
• Educate patients and families on post‑operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations.
• Apply strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions in a fast‑paced setting.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited college or university with a nursing program. BSN preferred.
• Licensure:
  Current RN license in New York.
• Certification: BLS/CPR required; CNOR or CPAN certification is a plus.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1–2 years in Pre‑Op, PACU, or surgical/perioperative nursing.

Pay Range: $38.75 – $54.85 per hour. The pay is based on experience, skills, and education; the range may vary within the stated amount by location.
