Location: City of Syracuse

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Educator Assistant Director of Education

Shift: Primarily Monday
- Friday Day shift.

We’re seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Clinical Educator to design, implement, and sustain educational programs that inspire clinical excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and support professional growth at every level of nursing practice. You’ll work side-by-side with nursing leadership to shape a culture of learning, quality, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging training programs for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs across all shifts.
  • Lead competency validation, clinical skills assessments, and orientation for new staff.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary leaders to identify training needs, close performance gaps, and improve resident outcomes.
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives in infection prevention, wound care, falls, medication safety, and more.
  • Inspire confidence, clinical judgment, and accountability in nursing staff.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to teach
  • Clinical competency with basic nursing care
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate educational need with motivation to start education
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and participate in the Train the Trainer programs
  • Active RN license in good standing (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in long-term care or subacute rehab
  • Proven teaching, leadership, or preceptorship experience
  • Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Passion for continuous improvement and staff empowerment
