Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience Unit (Full‑Time, 36 hrs/week)

Schedule:

12‑hour shifts (Day/Evening/Night), rotating weekends & holidays. Shift start: 7:00 am‑7:30 pm or 7:00 pm‑7:30 am, Monday‑Friday. Pay: $39.78–$51.50 per hour.

• Provide professional judgment and knowledge of roles as it pertains to the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model.
• Carry out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, emphasizing a culture of safe care.
• Responsible for assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem‑solving, creating and implementing the plan of care.
• Provide appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. Evaluate effectiveness and revise as appropriate.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment/plan of care during hospital stay.
• Utilize and engage in evidence‑based practice to deliver quality patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in clinical problem‑solving situations.

• Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
• • For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained.
• If hired as a Graduate Nurse, a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within 90 days of graduation and the GN must successfully pass the NCLEX exam within 120 days of the beginning of employment to obtain the required professional nursing licensure with New York State.
• Certification in a specialty area preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
