FSN is looking for a qualified Registered Nurse – Emergency Department/Critical Care for both night and day shifts!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a Level 1 or 2 trauma and acute care environment.
- Perform thorough patient assessments with minimal supervision, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records, preferably EPIC, to document patient care.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Adhere to schedule requirements including working every other weekend and some holidays; flexible scheduling for extended time off is limited.
Required Skills:
- Current New York State RN license.
- BLS certification, with ability and willingness to recertify.
- Minimum of 1.5 years recent experience (within past 2 years) in an acute care hospital setting of similar size and complexity.
- Previous EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform a broad range of nursing assessments and skills in a high-pressure environment.
- Clear professional record, with no license suspensions, investigations, or professional liability claims.
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
- Successful completion of pre-employment health screening, drug testing, and criminal background check
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred.
- Over 1.5 years recent critical care or emergency nursing experience.
- Trauma level 1 or 2 experience.
- Prior travel nurse experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and trauma centers.
- Experience working in trauma centers or larger hospital facilities.
- Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
Other Requirements:
- Both day and night shift available, both are 12-hour night shifts, scheduled every other weekend and some holidays.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
- Willingness to work in a high-stakes, fast-paced ICU environment with weekend and holiday shifts.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2,800.00
