Location: City of Syracuse

Make a meaningful impact in critical care by utilizing your expertise in a high-acuity setting. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in ICU, cardiac procedures, moderate sedation, and procedural patient care.

Schedule/Hours
  • Contract assignment (duration discussed during interview)
  • Shifts and hours will be confirmed with scheduling team
Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State
  • At least 2 years RN experience, with a minimum of 1.5 years recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a comparable acute care or trauma center
  • Strong background in cardiac or ICU-level care required
  • Expertise in moderate sedation medications, patient prep, recovery, and airway monitoring
  • Certification in BLS (or ability to renew as needed) is mandatory
  • Preferred:
    Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must not have any professional license/certification suspensions, pending investigations, or be named in professional liability claims
  • Legal right to work in the United States required
  • Must successfully clear pre-employment health screening, drug testing, and criminal background check
Additional Certifications/Experience (as required by specialty)
  • ACLS
  • NNLS and EFM
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • ENPC
  • Telemetry experience
  • Triage and ambulatory/primary care experience
  • Familiarity with medical coding or insurance review
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-level patient assessments and care consistent with ICU standards, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery for procedural patients
  • Respond efficiently to emergent situations and changes in patient conditions
  • Administer medications and monitor moderate sedation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation using EMR systems
