Locum Opportunity For Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner In Syracuse, New York

High-acuity care. Strong ICU exposure. No OR required.

This is a strong locum opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a Cardiac Surgery ICU team in Syracuse, New York. You'll manage critically ill patients in an inpatient ICU and step-down setting—without any OR responsibilities—working alongside experienced physicians and critical care teams.

The Role Syracuse, NY Dates:
June 1 – October 2 Inpatient ICU + Step-down EMR:
Epic Non-operative role (no OR required)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday (Day/Evening shifts)
• 40–50 hours per week
• Autonomous role with physician & critical care support

What You'll Be Working With

• Adult patient population
• Up to 10 notes/day + inpatient phone coverage
• Collaborative ICU environment
• Supervision available with onsite physicians

Procedures

• Central line placement
• Arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement & removal
• Wound VAC changes

Ideal Background

• ICU / Critical Care experience required
• Cardiac critical care preferred
• Strong inpatient medicine + cardiology exposure is a plus

Candidate Requirements

• NCCPA (for PA) / AANP or ANCC (for NP)
• Active New York License
• ACLS Certified
• ICU experience (no new grads)
• EPIC experience
• 15K conversion fee acknowledgment
