The Stress Echocardiology Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients undergoing procedures in the Electrocardiology Department.
Key Responsibilities- Administering medication to perform moderate sedation.
- Participate in diagnostic and treatment procedures in electrophysiology,
- Document activities of patient care and testing, and assisting physicians in testing and assessment of cardiac problems.
- Communicate results of testing to nursing and case managers and will be responsible for continuing education research and patient teaching.
- Associate's degree in Nursing, with a minimum of 2 years Cardiac Care nursing experience required.
- NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible).
- CPR-BLS certification and ACLS certification required by time of appointment.
- Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.
- Experience in an ICU, Critical Care, or Cardiac Stress/Echo Lab setting.
Day
Shifts:
40 hours per week with on call requirements.
