Insight Global's client, a renowned fertility center, is seeking a Registered Nurse in Syracuse, NY for a direct hire opportunity. The clinic offers advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing and values a patient centered approach supporting individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. The Registered Nurse performs patient-specific duties in the area of fertility including patient care, teaching, triage, procedures, and PACU recovery, in an operating room setting under the direction of the physician by performing the following duties:

• Administers medications and follows medication protocols.
• Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines.
• Triages patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area.
• Communicates, reviews, records all laboratory results.
• Maintains factual and thorough health care records.
• Prepares patients for procedures outlined below.
• Assists in patient procedures, oocyte retrievals, cyst aspirations, dilatation and curettage, laparoscopic and hysteroscopy surgeries, epididymal aspirations, HSG, and selective catheterization.
• Monitors recovery for post-op patients.
• Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.
• This position may also be responsible for performing other duties assigned, consistent with the role and operational needs of the organization.
