Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Syracuse, NY | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a high-risk regional perinatal center environment averaging 10+ births per day
• Manage patient care from active labor through 2-hour recovery prior to transfer to the postpartum unit
• Work within a unit comprising 21 labor beds, 2 triage beds, 2 same-day admit beds, 3 OR suites, and a 4-bed PACU
• Maintain a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 depending on assignment
• Support OR circulating duties as needed
• Adhere to unit dress code; scrubs are provided on-unit via scrub machine

• Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of New York
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible for a local rate; please inquire for details

• 3 or more years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• OR circulating experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
