Description:
Seeking a NP/PA for a vascular surgery position.
Coverage needed ASAP and ongoing, likely for 6 months.
FTE hours of 40/week with some call required.
Shifts include a mix of 10s or 12s, requiring flexibility.
Nights and weekends are required and will be rotated among staff.
Call coverage includes staying beyond shift end or home phone call.
Scheduled weekend and night shifts are in-house.
Typical shifts may vary including 7a-5p, 7a-7p, 9a-9p, and 7p-7a.Covering 5 surgeons' patients and surgeries is required.
Responsibilities include inpatient medical management and rounding.
Must be comfortable with acute illness management and pre/post-operative care in vascular surgery.
First assisting in the operating room for vascular cases will be required.
Bedside procedures may include suturing, wound care, and other related tasks.
Using an electronic medical record system for documentation is essential.
This position is for a busy and high-acuity vascular surgery service.
Must be comfortable with peripheral bypass, carotid surgery, AV fistula creation, and open abdominal aortic surgery.
Ideal candidates will have minimal turnover experience with a dedicated team of NPs and PAs.Credentialing is estimated to take 90 days.
