The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining processes and practices within the quality management system that help the organization achieve the highest quality standards possible and minimize product defects. This role integrates all quality‑connected functions into a Quality System, designed to assist manufacturing operations in providing quality products that fulfill customer needs at a minimum cost. The Manager of Quality Assurance also develops, communicates and coordinates the execution of all company quality programs and provides leadership to the Quality Assurance department.

• Establish, implement and maintain processes and practices within the quality management system that help the organization ensure that the processes are delivering their intended outputs
• Report on the performance of the quality management system and opportunities for improvement to top management
• Promote the organization to be customer focused
• Ensure that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes are planned and implemented
• Develop and manage implementation of all policies, procedures and practices to ensure organizational compliance with internal and external quality requirements and specifications
• Ensure that the organization is aware of and conforms to AS 9100, ISO, NADCAP, and customer requirements
• Ensure that appropriate employees obtain required training and certification in applicable quality assurance programs
• Work directly with key customers when quality issues arise and during audits or certifications
• Provide leadership for the Quality Assurance department
• Report performance of the quality management system to the Executive team
• Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Ability to work at the CPP Syracuse Facility

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required
• Experience:
  
  8+ years in a Quality Assurance leadership role; prior aerospace experience strongly preferred
• Certifications/Licenses:
  Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ, Lean Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred
• Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  Attention to detail, communication at all levels of the organization & with outside customers, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situations, working knowledge of ISO/AS9100/NADCAP and customer requirements

This is a management position. This is a full time position. Pay Range: $110,000 - $175,000.
