Quality Control Technician
This role focuses on ensuring that construction materials consistently meet established quality standards and specifications. You will perform hands-on sampling and testing of aggregates and other materials, carefully document and analyze results, and collaborate closely with production teams to maintain product quality and compliance. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and reliable execution of quality control procedures in a quarry environment.
Responsibilities- Perform sampling and testing of materials, including aggregates, to verify product quality and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Record, analyze, and report test results with a high level of accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail.
- Communicate quality findings clearly to production and operations teams and recommend adjustments to maintain or improve product quality.
- Follow established quality control procedures and testing methods to ensure consistent and reliable results.
- Maintain, clean, and inspect laboratory equipment and testing tools to ensure they operate safely and correctly.
- Support production operations by providing timely feedback on material quality and assisting with troubleshooting quality-related issues.
- Learn and apply relevant technical standards, specifications, and testing methods used in the quality control process.
- Contribute to a strong safety culture by following all site and laboratory safety protocols and using appropriate protective measures.
- Work in and around heavy equipment areas, maintaining awareness of surroundings and adhering to site safety rules.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and keeping work areas clean and organized to support a safe and efficient work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate testing and follow established quality control procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable, repeatable test results.
- Capability to learn and apply technical standards, specifications, and testing methods related to quality control and aggregate testing.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to share test results and collaborate with operations teams.
- Proven reliability, including consistent attendance and dependability in completing assigned tasks.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic production environment.
- Prior experience in a quality control role, particularly with aggregate testing.
- Ability to learn quickly, take direction, and follow instructions from supervisors and established procedures.
- Access to reliable transportation to travel to and from the worksite.
- Comfort working around heavy equipment and in industrial or quarry settings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with quality control processes in construction materials, aggregates, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with laboratory practices, including sample preparation, testing, and documentation.
- Experience working in environments with moving mechanical equipment and elevated noise levels.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks such as sweeping and general housekeeping to maintain a clean work area.

WorkEnvironment
This role operates primarily onsite at a quarry in an industrial setting. You will work in environments with moving mechanical equipment and heavy machinery, and you should expect exposure to inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
