The first study aims to understand the emotions and thoughts that influence drinking as individuals go about their daily lives. The second study explores trauma processing in the context of alcohol. These studies both include an onboarding session, ecological momentary assessment (EMA) phase, and related follow-up sessions.
The Project Coordinator will support numerous initiatives essential for success of these projects, including coordinating an interdisciplinary research team, conducting in-person or live online study sessions, and assisting with recruitment, participant contact, eligibility screening, scheduling, compensation, data monitoring, human subjects safety protocols, federal reporting protocols, and disseminating results through presentations and publications.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in psychology, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
* Prior experience and interest conducting research in psychology or social sciences.
* Experience with management and execution of federally-funded human subjects research projects on psychology, substance use, health behavior, or related topics is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
* Demonstrated organizational and management skills, including attention to detail
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Responsibilities
* Conducting research within the scope of the study protocols (e.g., running study sessions; collecting informed consent; providing overviews of study procedures; administering self-report questionnaires; conducting diagnostic interview assessments; setting up EMA software; awarding study compensation).
* Coordinating study support initiatives (e.g., managing study recruitment; maintaining participant databases; coordinating schedules among the research team; overseeing the project to do list; managing human subjects safety protocols; preparing progress reports for the sponsor; leading project meetings; reporting updates to PI).
* Managing data collection and maintaining data collection platforms (e.g., monitoring and troubleshooting compliance with EMA surveys; cleaning data; conducting descriptive analyses).
