Postdoctoral Researcher - Experimental Soft Matter
The Pashine laboratory at Syracuse University is soliciting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in Experimental Soft Matter physics. The position involves fundamental and applied research and advising graduate students in an interdisciplinary research team. Preferred experience includes mechanical metamaterials, disordered and glassy systems, and memory/physical learning in materials.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in experimental soft matter.
- Experience in soft condensed matter and/or mechanical metamaterials.
- Strong research skills and experience in experimental design and data analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Develop and conduct experiments, analyze data, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, write manuscripts, and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
