Job Summary
The Clinical Trials Program Lead provides day-to-day technical expertise and training to research staff, with mentorship and one-on-one support. They perform program research tasks such as filling out and approving study forms and documents and submitting Expanded Access Program requests. They coordinate Oncology research trials for the Cancer Center and satellite sites, involving investigational medications and FDA-regulated trials (early or late phase) with a high level of complexity, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines.
They interact with clinicians, sponsors, cooperative groups, Upstate's Institutional Review Board, and regulatory agencies. They enroll, register, and screen patients for Oncology clinical research trials, collect and submit clinical trial patient data, and perform administrative duties including collection and shipment of lab samples and regulatory upkeep of clinical research study supplies.
- Bachelor s degree and 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with mentorship and leadership capabilities.
- SoCRA or ACRP certification required.
- Oncology research experience required.

Salary Range: $72,000-$75,000
