Postdoctoral Researcher - Experimental Soft Matter
The Pashine laboratory at Syracuse University is soliciting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in Experimental Soft Matter physics. This position involves fundamental and applied research and advising graduate students in an interdisciplinary research team. Experience in one of the following areas is preferred: mechanical metamaterials, disordered and glassy systems, memory and physical learning in materials. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal of position in the following years, contingent upon funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Ph
D. in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, and demonstrated experience in experimental soft matter. Experience in soft condensed matter and/or mechanical metamaterials. Strong research skills and experience in experimental design and data analysis. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Developing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, writing manuscripts and publishing in peer reviewed journals.
