Job Summary

Receives, rotates, cuts, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats, including grinds. Assists in merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, pre‑packed deli, rotisserie chicken, and full service deli. Manages meat selection, prepares special cuts for members, and maintains all sanitation and safety standards within the meat department.

• Engage members and provide recommendations on meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by members.
• Cut, grind, and/or process fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Ensure the meat case showcases all currently available products.
• Maintain an appropriate level of inventory for the meat department.
• Fully stock meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases.
• Rotate meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Dispose of damaged and/or expired products following company guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including cooler, freezer, and refrigerated display cases.
• Inspect and store meat upon delivery.
• Verify that all received meats meet or exceed company quality standards.
• Receive and unpack meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses in the cooler and freezer.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including placing orders and working in other departments as needed.
• Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance.

• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic or hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Salary range: $21.25 - $26.63 per hour, based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.

Work involves moving on hard surfaces, bending, pulling, reaching, stooping, and occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds or more with assistance. The working area is a cooler environment with temperature extremes, loud noise, and occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
