Prepare and display meat items for sale in accordance with the company standards and policies. Wait on customers and provide customer services. Demonstrate the company's leadership behaviors and the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities- Work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Communicate effectively, both written and oral.
- Read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
- Operate power tools such as automatic wrappers, slicers, grinders, power saws, and jacks.
- Use chemical cleaning solutions safely.
- Work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment and help department members.
- Tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations to create a positive impression on associates and customers.
- Prepare and display merchandise in a neat, efficient, orderly manner.
- Check product quality to ensure freshness, safety, and proper rotation.
- Maintain clean and organized sales areas, backrooms, and coolers.
- Keep carts, tools, and supplies in designated areas.
- Maintain clean, safe, and clutter‑free floors.
- Ensure proper inventory levels and freshness in display cases.
- Unload trucks, sort, and prepare merchandise for sale.
- Provide good customer and associate relations.
- Wash and sanitize equipment in accordance with company and Health Department policies.
- Make a clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
- Communicate with customers and associates.
- Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully.
- Greet customers and assist them in finding products.
- Follow all current rules and duties of the Meat, Company, and State and Federal laws.
- Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly.
- Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, especially dress code, grooming, food safety sanitation, and maintaining a harassment‑free environment.
- Maintain equipment and facilities safely in accordance with company policies.
- Perform any and all duties as assigned.
- Meat work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
- Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, OSHA compliance, food handling, etc.
