Job Description
Part-time Team Leader at Destiny USA Mall in Syracuse, NY. Responsible for leading a team of Sales Associates and ensuring a high-quality brand experience for LEGO customers.
Responsibilities- Assist the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) and Store Manager (SM) in maintaining holiday, attendance, and team scheduling.
- Supervise Sales Associates during the shift, addressing issues in line with LEGO policies and procedures with support from the ASM and SM.
- Order store and office supplies in accordance with guidelines and operating budgets.
- Ensure money-handling procedures are followed by all Sales Associates.
- Maintain a well-organized stockroom and merchandise all available products on the shop floor, achieving loss-prevention targets.
- Support the ASM and SM in achieving a high standard of merchandise presentation following store guidelines.
- Enhance profitable sales by regularly reviewing sales and margin information.
- Ensure appropriate and effective space-management techniques are used.
- Make sure the store graphics system, including pricing, is maintained effectively, focusing on customer service and maximizing profitable sales.
- Ensure all fixtures are always replenished.
- Evaluate and communicate competitor visual merchandising techniques, identifying opportunities to grow the business.
- Train Sales Associates on visual merchandising techniques according to LEGO Brand Retail guidelines.
- Empower and develop a high-performance team by sharing LEGO Brand, Vision, and Values.
- Deliver inspirational retail experiences based on LEGO Brand values.
- Leadership and/or management experience in a retail store environment.
- Proven ability in employee training.
- Experience with cash handling and inventory/sales auditing.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale automated systems.
- Experience in merchandise and visual merchandising maintenance.
- Physical capability to move, talk, hear, reach, grab, stand for at least two consecutive hours and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb ladders.
- Vision abilities including close vision and depth perception.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Availability to work up to 30 hours per week, covering the full week and weekend with a minimum of 4 days.
