Full-Time Lead Store Associate

The lead store associate position is a keyholder position responsible for independently opening and closing the store in the absence of store management. • Overseestheappropriate resolution of employee and customer concerns, aligning with store management as needed.

• Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to store personnel in the absence of store management to ensure desired results.

• Assistsstore management with implementing action plans to improve operating results and personnel development.

• Informs store management of team developments and concerns ina timelyand effective manner.

• Communicates, cooperates, and interacts effectively with all levels of ALDI employees, customers, third-party vendors, and business partners.

• Leads, develops, and supervises the team to develop sales, engage our teams, satisfy ourcustomersand achieve consistent high performance.

• Stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales.

• Properlyutilizesthe point-of-sale(POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors.

• Complete curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuringtimelydelivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area.

• Executes opening and closing duties in the absence of store management.

• Delegates and oversees the completion of tasks to store associates, cashiers, and stockers in the absence of store management.

• Assistsstore management in achieving operational efficiency goals.

• Assistsstore management in achieving total loss goals.

• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.

• Resolves concerns from store personnel and customers and/orrefers such concerns to the storemanageras necessary.

• Models,communicatesandmonitorscompliance with established policies and procedures.

• Ensures store personnel adhere to expense guidelines, inventory procedures, product handling, and cash handling policies to minimize loss.

• Ensures store personnel maintain zone standards and merchandising standards at all times.

• Ensures store personnel comply withthe company’s guidelines,policies and procedures;demonstratesappropriate interactions with co-workers.

• Supports store management in ensuring a safe working environment by rectifying and identifying unsafe conditions, including poor ergonomics and equipment concerns to prevent injuries or accidents before they occur.

• Performs general cleaning tasks to company standards.

• Required to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move from one area to another.

• Required to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.

• Required operation of equipment such as a cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floorscrubberand cardboard baler.

• Required to stockproductin varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.

• Required to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.
