Part Time Sales Associate II

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate II to work in our Eastwood 3fifteen Store. The Sales Associate II serves customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise. This position assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store, promotes Rescue Mission, builds relationships with customers, and provides customer service by greeting the customers with a smile and hello, providing information, and answering questions.

Responsible for opening and closing procedures in the absence of the store manager and/or assistant store manager, cash reconciliation, stocking shelves, counters, racks, and tables, and promoting sales by setting up displays and making announcements as directed by the supervisor. Additionally, obtains payments by processing cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards, maintains the clean and orderly condition of the store, creates a safe environment by complying with procedures and policies, and assists in identifying, reporting, and solving issues to store management.

• High School diploma or GED certificate

• 1-3 years retail experience preferred
• Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred
• Emotionally mature and able to handle stress professionally and in public

• Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and days
• Customer-service oriented
• Manages time efficiently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, visually check color-coded racks and sizing by number, bending and lifting required

$16.30 per hour
